- Qiwa has launched a new 'Training Contracts' service enabling establishments to formally document trainee arrangements on the platform.
- Training contract registration on Qiwa does not link to other authorities such as the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI) or the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
- Only one active training contract is allowed per trainee during the same period.
- Training contracts do not count toward an establishment’s contractual documentation compliance percentage.
- Fixed training period limits apply depending on the type of programme (co‑op or graduate / job‑seeker training).
Qiwa has introduced a new 'Training Contracts' service that allows establishments to formally register trainee arrangements directly on the platform. The service creates a structured mechanism for documenting training relationships while preserving the rights and obligations of both parties.
Based on Qiwa’s confirmation, the key features of the new service are as follows:
- No cross‑agency impact: Registering a trainee contract on Qiwa does not create any linkage or visibility with other government bodies, including GOSI or the MOJ.
- One contract per trainee: A trainee may only hold one active training contract during the same period.
- Excluded from compliance calculations: Training contracts are not counted toward an establishment’s contractual documentation compliance percentage on Qiwa.
- Fixed training periods:
- Cooperative training: Minimum two months, maximum six months.
- Graduate / job seeker training: Minimum three months, maximum 12 months.
This update is particularly relevant for organisations engaging interns, trainees, and recent graduates, providing a clearer and more formalised process for documenting practical training arrangements.
