  • Employers with 100 or more employees have been required to report gender pay data for a number of years.
  • However, under new laws which took effect in 2024, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is now publishing employer gender pay gap data for the first time, making this information publicly available on its website.
  • In February 2024, information for nearly for nearly 5,000 companies was published on the WGEA website.
  • The data reveals gender pay gap targets, total remuneration pay gaps, board compositions, companies which have policies in place which promote gender equity and pay, and which industries are dominated by gender.
