With Ramadan taking place from 28 February to 30 March 2025, there are a variety of workplace measures which are being implemented throughout the Middle East to support workers. 

UAE

In the UAE, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation have announced that working hours will be reduced by two hours per day for private sector employees throughout the holy month of Ramadan. 

Qatar

The Ministry of Labour have announced that working hours will be reduced to a maximum of six hours per day and 36 hours per week throughout the holy month of Ramadan. 

Oman

Oman's Ministry of Labour has announced that working hours will be reduced throughout the holy month of Ramadan for both public and private sector employees. 

Government employees will work from 9am until 2pm (five consecutive hours), however there is flexibility within this (employees can work any time between 7am and 3pm) which is up to discretion of the head of department. 

In the private sector, working hours will be reduced to six hours per day and a maximum of 30 hours per week.
