On 18 December 2024, the Danish Ministry of Employment submitted a bill to the Danish Parliament on amendments to the Danish Working Environment Act. These are in addition to the amendments published in April 2024.

Among other things, it is proposed that the Danish Working Environment Authority can order a contractor who has entered into an agreement with a client to carry out work on a construction site to stop all work covered by the contractor's agreement with the client, regardless of whether the work is carried out by the contractor or, in certain cases, by subcontractors.

It is also proposed to increase the fines for violations of the Danish Environmental Act by 50%. If the bill is adopted, the amendments will enter into force on 1 January 2026.
