The Ministry of Employment has submitted a bill proposing changes to the Danish Working Environment Act. These changes aim to strengthen efforts made to improve the working environment and include:

  • Granting the Danish Working Environment Authority the power to share details about severe work-related accidents, including fatal accidents, if it helps prevent future incidents.
  • The ability to set regulations ensuring that both local and foreign companies fall under the Danish Working Environment Authority’s upcoming inspection plan. This means all firms that the Authority visits will be included in the scheme, regardless of whether they are Danish or foreign companies.

If the bill is adopted, the amendments will enter into force on 1 July 2024.
