On 2 October 2024, the Danish Minister of Employment presented a bill that regulates the provision of accommodation for employees by the employer. The aim is to introduce certain minimum requirements for the accommodation that employers provide to their employees. Among other things, it is proposed that employers must ensure that the accommodation provided to employees is not harmful to their health and that it meets certain requirements. It is also proposed that the Danish Working Environment Authority monitors whether the accommodation provided by the employer for one or more employees meets the established requirements. If the bill is adopted by the Danish Parliament, the Danish law on employee accommodation will come into force on 1 July 2025.
