Visa extensions: End of special arrangements

• On 29 June 2023, the immigration department announced that, from 1 January 2024, the special provision permitting visa holders to apply for a visa extension while outside of Hong Kong would be discontinued.
• Consequently, applicants are now required to be physically present in Hong Kong at the time of both the application and the collection of the visa.
