Minimum wage increase

At a glance

• On 4 December 2024, the Minimum Wage National Commission unanimously agreed to increase the minimum wage, with the change coming into effect as of 1 January 2025.
• Following the increase, the minimum wage will be MXN419.88 per day in the northern border-free zone and MXN278.80 per day in the rest of the country.
• The increase has not been published yet in the Federal Official Gazette.
