The Polish government has officially confirmed an increase in the minimum wage, effective 1 January 2026. According to the regulation published in the Journal of Laws, the gross monthly minimum wage will rise to PLN4,806, while the gross hourly rate for civil law contracts will increase to PLN31.40.
Unlike previous years, no mid-year adjustment is planned. These rates will remain in effect throughout the entirety of 2026.
It is worth mentioning that the increase in the minimum wage has an impact on other benefits received by employees and related to their employment. As a consequence of the new minimum wage, the following payments will also increase: remuneration for downtime, guaranteed remuneration, compensation for unequal treatment, and compensation for mobbing or for termination of an employment contract by an employee as a result of mobbing. The allowance for night work will also increase, as it is calculated as 20% of the hourly rate resulting from the minimum wage.
