From 1 January 2027, Denmark will introduce a new recruitment route for certified employers seeking to hire workers from selected third countries.
Under the scheme, certified companies covered by a qualifying collective bargaining agreement may sponsor residence and work permits for full-time employees, provided certain conditions are met, including a minimum annual salary of DKK322,000 (based on the 2026 salary level and subject to future adjustment).
To qualify, employers must satisfy a number of certification requirements, including employing at least ten full-time employees in Denmark.
The new scheme is intended to facilitate international recruitment while maintaining labour market standards and may provide employers with greater flexibility in addressing labour shortages in key sectors.
