On 15 January 2026, a decree was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation introducing reforms to several laws, including the Federal Labor Law. These reforms aim to eradicate violence against women, prevent gender discrimination, and promote substantive equality between women and men.

Among the key amendments are new obligations for both employers and employees to support a work environment free from discrimination and violence against women. Employers must now provide training to help prevent and eliminate such violence in the workplace.

The reforms entered into force on 16 January 2026.
