  • Reporting is mandatory for employers with more than 50 employees and voluntary for smaller organisations, with the platform enabling reuse of 2022–2023 data.
  • A dedicated Public Relations Office support section is available, and significant sanctions apply for late, missing, incomplete or false reports, including fines and suspension of social security contribution benefits.
  • Companies involved in public procurement may temporarily rely on the 2022–2023 report but must update it by 30 April 2026.
  • Any pending submissions for the previous reporting period must be completed by 15 March 2026.

The Ministry of Labour has announced new timelines and processes for the 2024–2025 Biennial Gender Equality Report. From 1 March 2026, employers will be able to access the online submission form via the Servizi Lavoro portal, with the reporting deadline set for 30 April 2026.

The reporting obligation applies to public and private employers with more than 50 employees, while smaller organisations may continue to file on a voluntary basis. The updated system will allow companies to retrieve and amend the information submitted for the 2022–2023 report, helping streamline the process.

To support employers, the Ministry has created a dedicated section within its online Public Relations Office. The sanctions regime remains stringent:

  • Failure to submit the report may lead to penalties under Article 11 of Presidential Decree No. 520/1955;
  • Non-compliance extending beyond 12 months can result in a one‑year suspension of social security contribution benefits; and
  • Incomplete or inaccurate submissions may trigger fines ranging from EUR1,000 to EUR5,000.

Organisations participating in public procurement procedures may continue to rely temporarily on the 2022–2023 report but must file the updated 2024–2025 report by 30 April 2026. The Ministry has also set 15 March 2026 as the final deadline for submitting any outstanding reports relating to the previous period.
