Increase to Romania's minimum wage

At a glance

• From 1 July 2026, the national minimum gross monthly base salary will increase from the current RON4,050 to RON4,325.
• This excludes any bonuses or increments and is based on an average working schedule of 166,667 hours per month, equating to RON25.949 per hour.
• This gross monthly base salary will also apply to the agricultural and the food sectors.
