The EEOC and the DOJ recently issued technical assistance documents regarding 'unlawful discrimination' relating to DEI.
Both agencies issued a one-page document titled 'What to Do If You Experience Discrimination Related to DEI at Work.' The EEOC also released a FAQ document titled 'What You Should Know About DEI-Related Discrimination at Work.'
The new guidance clarifies what the Trump administration considers to be unlawful DEI under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin in the workplace, and provides information to employees on steps to take if they believe they have experienced unlawful discrimination based on DEI programs and practices.
