Under a draft law being debated by MPs an amendment to the Labour Law is requiring seats for women workers would be required in all workplaces. The new clause would obliged employers who hire women workers to provide seats for them in all places where they work so they can rest. This would be added to the current requirement under that provision to display the regulations on women's employment clearly in the workplace. It would also apply to roles that require constant movement. An earlier draft of the amendment had also included the need for employers to take specific steps to prevent violence and harassment at work. That has now been removed as it has been stated this area is already covered by Article 192 bis of the Labour Law.
