  • On 12 June 2024, a bill on Requirements for Employer-provided Accommodation for Employees (Bill) was published for consultation. Note, the Bill has not yet been introduced into the Danish Parliament.
  • The purpose of the Bill is to introduce certain minimum requirements with regards to any accommodation that employers provide for their employees. Employers must, among other things, ensure that the accommodation provides a healthy environment for the employee and that it fulfils certain requirements - for instance, there must be satisfactory access to toilets, access to good and sufficient drinking water etc.
  • The Danish Working Environment Authority will monitor compliance with the Bill’s requirements.
  • If the Bill is introduced in the Danish Parliament, and adopted, it will enter into force on 1 July 2025.
