- Amendments to the regulation on staffing agencies mandate that businesses involved in labour outsourcing (staffing agencies) must obtain approval from the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet) to operate legally.
- It is illegal for businesses to hire individuals from staffing agencies that are not approved by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority. However, from 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2024, such hiring is permitted for businesses which have applied for approval and are awaiting a review.
