
Fixed-term employment contracts have been extended in some sectors to prevent food waste

At a glance
- Temporary contracts have been extended from 90 to 120 days to address occasional and foreseeable production needs of short duration. In the agro-food sector (covering agriculture, livestock, forestry, and related industries), short-term campaigns are considered valid reasons for these contracts.
- This change is retroactive and has been effective since 2 January 2025.
