Luxembourg's social minimum wage increased from 1 January 2025

• The social minimum salary has been adjusted in line with the 944.43 index of Luxembourg's sliding wage scale, in accordance with the Luxembourg Labour Code.
• From 1 January 2025, the monthly minimum wage in Luxembourg will be EUR2,637.79 for unskilled workers and EUR3,165.35 for skilled workers (for a full-time employee).

This adjustment aligns with the EU Directive on adequate minimum wages, which sets out criteria for revising the social minimum wage, including long-term national productivity changes. The deadline to transpose this Directive into Luxembourg law was 15 November 2024. Local implementation was submitted on 30 August 2024 and is still under discussion.
