On 28 November 2024, the Romanian government approved this decision, and it was published in the Official Gazette. From 1 January 2025, the minimum wage will increase to RON4,050 per month.
A draft government decision was released for public debate on 21 October 2024. It proposed that, from 1 January 2025, the national minimum gross monthly base salary will increase from the current RON3,700 (approximately EUR745) to RON4,050 (approximately EUR815). This figure does not include any bonuses or increments and is based on an average working schedule of 165.334 hours per month, equating to RON24.496 per hour.
