Finland will provide an overview of recent legislative reforms, including amendments to the Employment Contracts Act and strengthened protections against pregnancy and family leave discrimination, as well as recent case law developments. Norway will focus on the ongoing discussion around overtime compensation for part-time employees and potential regulatory changes as well as the evolving distinction between employees and independent contractors, including the closely watched Wolt case, where an upcoming Supreme Court decision is expected to provide important guidance for employers.

Denmark will provide an update on key developments in employment law, including the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and what employers need to prepare for ahead of its expected entry into force in 2027. And finally, Sweden will cover the latest developments in pay transparency legislation, recent case law and emerging labor market trends, highlight political initiatives that may shape the future of the Swedish labor market, and examine whether recent labor disputes, including the Tesla strike, signal broader challenges to the Swedish model.

Our legal advisors will cover this and much more in this Nordic Employment Law Update.
