Contents

This year’s seminar will feature a mix of regional updates, panel discussions and an interactive case study.

APAC Employment Law Update

Our lawyers from across the region will provide jurisdiction-specific updates on key legislative and case law developments, as well as emerging trends shaping the future of work in Asia Pacific.

Panel Discussion: The Rise of Rightsizing – Navigating Alternatives to Redundancy

As employers across the region look for more flexible workforce strategies, many are turning to “rightsizing” measures – such as voluntary redundancies and early retirement schemes – as alternatives to formal redundancy processes. Our panel will explore the legal, practical and employee-relations considerations of these approaches across different jurisdictions.

Interactive Case Study: Restrictive Covenants in Action

In this session, two teams of our lawyers will take on the roles of counsel for the outgoing employer and the new employer in a simulated dispute involving alleged breaches of non-compete and other post-termination obligations. Through this engaging mock scenario, we will explore enforcement challenges, strategic considerations, and best practices for protecting business interests when employees move.

NOTE: As part of the office building policy, please bring your ID to the information desk on the first floor to obtain your temporary building access card.
